She was bought up by a family, the first doll of quite a few.
They took her home and set her down, admiring her fine dress.
With soft brown curls and bright blue eyes, there's no doubt that she'd impress.
The family loved her very much, their bright new china doll.
They admired her upon her perch, which was so very tall.
The doll held her chin very high, she felt so proud and grand,
But one day someone was not so careful and bumped into her stand.
She wobbled 'round and all about and tumbled to the ground.
And when she hit, the poor small thing mad
